Obtained a Cash Settlement from the Plaintiff in a Breach of Contract Case
Two parties had owned a home that they both had lived in. The Plaintiff moved out of the home but the parties had an agreement where he had a one year option to purchase the property. He never exercised the option in that year.
When the property was later listed for sale, he filed a breach of contract suit, apparently designed to retaliate.
After a deposition of the Plaintiff, the case settled, with the Plaintiff paying the Defendant over $60,000, instead of taking it to trial.
That defendant later referred several other cases to Ian.
